Probably our favorite of the American heritage brands Russell Moccasin creates a nice 2 tone version of their Huron for Japanese retailer Silver & Gold. The 4 hole shoe feature premium suede upper with triple vamp construction made with a military last set on  Vibram sole. The uppers are mixed with a but of leather on the side panel extending subtly to the heel. These are available in very limited numbers at Silver & Gold for the equivalent of £560 which may sound like alot but trust me these will last a lifetime.

Hirsoshi Tsubouchi stunning SS12 collection is putting the designer on the map west of Japan. The latest to hit the shelves is this Shark Sole Derby featuring a premium Navy leather upper with deep shine set on a specially  designed jagged sole with a red accent on the heel. These good year welted beauties are hand crafted in Japan. They are available now at exclusive stockists for £330.

Mark McNairy is a man on fire constantly churning out new unique pieces with a who’s who list of collaborators. The latest bring him together with Norse Projects in a descriptively named collection “Couple of Derby’s and a Gibson”. The Derbys feature  solid suede uppers with full tan leather lining, waxed rolled laces set on an EVA sole available in either  blue or  white with contrasting army green or blue welts. The Gibson, also coming in premium suede has an instep vent, a D ring lace up front, set on  Vibram Cristy Morflex wedge sole unit complimented by a burnt orange welt. They are available now at NORSE for around £200.

Tom Sachs creative partnership with Nike is in full swing with the creation of NIKEcraft with a kitschy yet clever space travel theme. Last week we previewed the Mars Yard Shoe, now back on earth the mission control team will be sporting these brogues. The traditionally styled brogue shoe crafted with the help of Nike cohorts Cole Haan features premium pebbled leather uppers with brogues stitching and even a brogue swoosh all set on a specially deigned hi grip waffle sole.  As far as we know there are available in only in black, they are currently on display at Tom Sachs Mission to Mars exhibition in NYC.

As part of the SS12 collection Tsubouchi touches the traditional Saddle shoes featuring a premium suede upper with leather saddle complete with waxed laces and black metal eyelets. Visvim introduces a new  model to their ever expanding SS12 collection.  The new low cut silhouette is inspired by footwear at the turn of the 1900′s featuring Italian vegetable-tanned cowhide upper . Buffalo hide heel cup support Natural cork footbed. The shoes are Hand sewn with Hand_nailed welt construction set on a Vibram sole. These are available now exclusively at FIL for ¥68,000.
