Feiyue, the recently re launched chinese kung fu sneaker brand now has a full collection of casual sneaks harnessing its heritage. For FW 10 we see a few new models added to the mix including some mid rise, hi tops and lo tops now available in leather and suede. Previously only available in Europe its only matter of time until we see these in the states.

Feiyue collaborates with visual artist Daubal for a special edition capsule. The collection features 2  renditions of the classic lo top. One featuring hand painted  decals, while the other experiments with a breathable perforated material.  Both are available now at exclusive Feiyue retailers for around €70.

Feiyue has been doing a great job thus far in the revamp of the king fu sneaker brand. Now we are seeing more creativity from the design team with the new collection for Fall 09. The iconic sneaker will be available in all new colors with the Feiyue logo muted for that clean sophisticated look. They are set to release in July and will retail for around $60- $70.

Since Feiyue was re branded by French company a couple years back the most we saw were the old kung fu designs in new color ways. The new SS 09 collection genuinely takes form with a nice  new slate of silhouettes while harnessing their heritage as the shoe of Shaolin. They will be available in fall at D-Mop .

Feiyue literally translates to “Flying High”in Chinese and that exactly what this brand is doing since a french comany took it over about a year ago. Feiyue has its roots deep in chinese martial arts,  now re branded as a luxury performance sneaker we can now get a quaility pair (shown above) which were worn by many of the performers in the bejing games. The shoes are avialable at exclusive retialers such as Odin for $128.

Feiyue was born in Shanghai in the 1920s gracing the feet of Shaolin masters for years to come.  Fast forward to 2007 as Feiyue is re emerging as a lifestyle shoe brand harnessing its history while developing new styles for todays market. The Feiyue Shaolin is the original shoe that started it all, it has been retooled a bit while maintaining its original shape. Retailing fr 50 Euro ,they are not available in the U.S, but if your lucky enough to live in NYC you can grab an original pair at one of the kung fu shops for about $15. The shaolin come in both a low top and high top, watch out for new styles and collaborations from this Chinese legend.
