Vans Vault x Robert Williams

Here is the latest Vans Vault series, designed by Robert Williams. Williams achieved his notoriety in 1987 when Guns ‘N Roses released their seminal debut album Appetite for Destruction. The cover art familiar to most is a cross with the five skulls-caricatures, one of each member of the band. However, the original and intended cover art was actually a graphic scene depicting a monster and robot–human rape as designed by Williams. Williams’ cover was banished to the inlet after outrage from religious groups. Guns ‘N Roses front-man Axl Rose insisted that the original cover be used for the Gold and Platinum plaques issued by the RIAA. These Vans are currently available for pre-order.
